Most schools lose money on sports, including small schools. Every NAIA school. Every NCAA Div. III school. And the $10 m threshold is deceiving - while San Diego State only gets about $3M a year from its conference, I'm not sure what they get for their local radio contracts for basketball and football. It could be enough to push them over the threshold.
