I was a graduate student at Berkeley in the 80s and never had any doubt of the anti-Semitism of the Left as a major driving force. This was a time when affirmative action had started to be challenged in the Supreme Court and nothing grated the Left than a minority that didn't need EEOC help to get into top schools.
As someone who was a kid in the 90’s and therefore unaware of these larger issues at hand, it’s fascinating to learn that the seeds of anti-semitism were being revealed even back then!
I added it back - it's now a dual-byline by one person. ;-) (For my other readers: That's an inside journalism joke probably only Martin will get ....)
